I bought the refrigerator a month ago so I havent had a lot of time on it. Overall I am very satisfied. There are two things I have noticed. The first is that all of the ice cubes freeze together. You have to remove the ice container from the door and empty it out. The second item is that you have to press the water and cubed ice several times in order for them to dispense

AWESOME Customer Service Warranty

I wont sugar coat it. You can buy a fridge pretty much anywhere any brand and it should last. This is my second LG Fridge. My first one lasted less than 3 years before the condenser quit working. I assumed it was out of warranty and well... we needed another Fridge ASAP. It was summer time and it just happend that day we were hosting a family reunion and military homecoming. So we went to Lowes and bought another LG It was and has been an amazing fridge had everything we needed for a family of four. But like the other one just about 3 yrs in the condenser failed AGAIN. This time I called LG. Without going into details they informed me that the unit was still under warranty and that a technician would be out that week to fix it. Granted we lost 1/3 of our food and had to purchase a temporary fridge off of FB marketplace. But the highlight of this review is focused on customer service. Again a fridge is a fridge and all MFGs have issues in some form or fashion. But what all MFGs dont have is superior customer service. LG has me for life It was a seamless experience and process. I just hope the fridge lasts another 5+ years If not the review will be drastically different and Ill probably throw out every other LG product I have in spite.

Bought this refrigerator about 3 weeks ago and so far all seems to be working fine. Both the refrigerator and freezer seem to be keeping the set temperature. The refrigerator is very quiet and the icemaker and water dispenser work as expected. Only issue we have is that the second shelf the one that can be open/close to allow for tall items when closed it doesnt stay closed all the way. from time to time it opens or slide back 1/2 way. I will contact LG to see if we can get a replacement part

I have had my refrigerator for about 3 weeks now. The water and ice tastes like a rubber hose. I did a live chat with LG support and they said LG sent me the wrong water filter so they are sending me one which will take 7 to 10 business days. I my opinion they should have overnighted it. I hope that fixes the problem.

Freezer doors dont stay open

Ive had this refrigerator for less than a month and its okay. The refrigerator section is very big. Im disappointed in the freezer. Its smaller than I thought it would be but the worst part is that the freezer doors dont stay open on their own you have to hold the door open with your hand so you can never use both hands to access whats in the freezer. This happens for both freezer doors. You open them and they just slide shut right away. Ive had technicians out twice to try to fix it but it cant be fixed. Not so good if you have something to put in the freezer that you need two hands to hold.

The fridge has been great so far. The only issue we have is the water tastes funny coming out of fridge. We pushed through over 3 gallons on new filter and it still has a funny metallic taste and it has been 2 weeks and probably over 20 gallons gone through. I was expecting a fridge to last 10 years but at 4 the compressor failed. Unluckily I purchased a warranty and had to wait weeks to get it fixed under warranty. The tech told me he expects a 5 year life on all new refrigerators.

Recall NEEDED on Refrigerator Model: LMXS28626S

We purchased our beautiful LG refrigerator model LMXS28626S brand new in February 2020 and started having problems with it in December 2022. We called the customer service line and they walked us through steps to resolve the issue but it was temporary. The problem: the ice starts dispensing on its own automatically causing a flood on our kitchen floor. We unplugged the unit and turn off the ice maker. When we turned it back on the ice features and water would not dispense. The LG customer support line told us to unplug it for 5 minutes turn the ice Dispenser off and back on while keeping the left door open press and hold the lock button then close the door. Keep it closed for exactly 1 hour without use and then unlock the fridge. Unfortunately it was a temporarily solution. This happened several times and now the water and ice Dispenser does not work at all. Why hasnt there been a recall on this model? This is apparently a well known issue and has caused nothing but headaches for us. MODEL LMXS28626S

LG Refrigerator broke twice in 3 years service

This refrigerator has broke twice. The condenser was replaced in the past and recently after waiting for service the technician came to replace the condenser again on Jan 19.2023 finding out that something else needs to be replaced. We are schedule for service tomorrow Feb 1 2023. In other words we has been without refrigerator for over 2 weeks.

I want to love this fridge but...

I purchased this refrigerator when my previous LG failed before Thanksgiving. It is my first French door style. The fridge works and everything stays cold and frozen. My biggest disappointment is with the ice maker. For some reason an ice jam forms on the right side of the ice bin. This ice jam keeps the ice bar from dropping which makes the maker think there is plenty of ice. We only find out about the ice jam when the ice fails to dispense. My second complaint is that the dispensing of ice AND water is SLOW. It takes a few seconds after pressing the dispenser bar for the fridge to start dispensing water or ice. Its like it has to think about it. My previous fridge started dispensing the instant you pressed the bat. This seems like something that could be fixed with a simple firmware update. I personally would not buy this refrigerator again.

Will Possibly Not Buy Another LG Product

I bought this product in Sept 2021. When delivered one of the doors was dented and had to be replaced and an adjustable shelf didnt work properly and had to be replaced. There was no indication from the box that there could possibly be a dent ... but there was. On 12/25/2022 1 1/4 years of use the product began to make a chirping noise. Of course the product was now out of warranty but I had bought the extended warranty service and I was advised to call the Extended Service Company. The ESC was unable to come out until 1/5/2023. 11 days later. I was advised by the technician that the product needed a new fan and it had to be ordered which the technician ordered on the spot. I was told it was take at 7 days for the part to come in. Luckily the product is still Freezing and cooling but without the fan I am very concerned that the compressor could be damaged due to possible heat build up. We will see. I would think that one would get more than a year and a quarter out of an LG product before needing a major repair. Needless to say say ... I will think hard about considering any future LG product purchase.

LG was very easy to work with as was Gibsons repair and resolving our issue with a discontinued port for a refrigerator. As a result they refunded us the full amount of the original cost of the refrigerator to replace it.

I bought this 2 years ago before the first year of use it needed a new parts because the freezer was no longer working. It took them about 3 weeks from the time i placed the service call to come fix it. They kept sending different people and none could diagnose til finally someone did. Now a year later its no longer making ice and the water doesnt dispense.

Refrigerator with Style but not Reliability

Our French door refrigerator has nice styling good lighting and functional design. Since the ice-maker is in the door room is not lost. Issues of reliability were evident before five years of use. Both the compressor and ice-maker stopped working and needed to be replace. That had a cost of approximately half of the original price. Ouch I went to LG on the five-year warranty for the compressor. After numerous calls from October through December I received a check for $290.00 which was about 25 of the replacement cost for the compressor. The ice-maker replacement is not covered and was more than the check received.

Broke down twice

The water from this refrigerator is cold enough but the taste is not improved by the filter. After running at least 4 gallons through the lines water still has a moldy/plastic taste. I will change the filter to see if that helps. The refrigerator also arrived with a dent in the top freezer drawer.

If you like to balance like an acrobat while putting things away in your freezer then this model may be the one for you. If your a great catcher of rolling cans then this refrigerator is for you. If you like dealing with the worst customer service who doesnt care and spins you around in circle for months at a time then this refrigerator is for you. In all seriousness. The freezer drawers close on themselves rapidly. I called customer service multiple times to get an RMA number for the dealer so I could exchange for a new one and was told 10 different things. They sent a technician out to fix a horribly designed refrigerator and their solution was to put the back up in shims so the freezer drawers wouldnt close as fast. Problem is they still close fast and now things roll off the shelves in the fridge making it hazardous for my young son to get hit in the head with a can or a jar. I reached out to the presidents office and they dont care they eventually just started not responding. Again 100 dont recommend. Do not buy.
