The sensor dry turns things off before they dry

I have used this dryer in a rental house for ~3 months. It always turns the dryer off before the clothes are dry which is infuriating especially when you add time. This is a perfect example of new tech making things work. I am happy to leave it running to ensure it drys the clothes but the dryer apparently knows better so it stops and everything is damp even when turned to very dry. Get a normal old-fashioned dryer not a sensor one.

I regret buying this LG product

I bought the washer dryer set - both of which work very well - however I was told I could switch the doors around. LG wont switch the doors around via the concierge service. LG customer service told me I could hire someone to switch the doors which would negate the warranty. If the doors can be switched why wont LG stand by their products and switch the doors so they will be better functionally? I wont by LG again. I already bought the fridge range and W/D. I still need a microwave and dishwasher - they lost future sales.

Sensor Dry Doesnt Work Well

Weve had the LG large capacity Sensor Dry Dryer for over a year now--Ive learned to work with it but still dont like it. Mainly the sensory dry doesnt work well. It stops when the socks are still damp or other items. Then I have to dry them separately. Ive called Customer Service and got a very snippy unhelpful woman so I gave that up. Ive learned to mostly use the timed setting then I can also control what heat level when other setting also wont let me control that. And whats up with having to remember to do the wrinkle free setting why isnt that automatic?? Not our best purchase...

Easy ordering process with Costco. Bought this as a set along with LG Washer WM3900HWA.Very quick delivery installation of new washer and dryer as well as haul away of the old appliance. We have been using it for 3 weeks and so far happy with both the washer and dryer. They are Wi-Fi enabled and you can monitor and get notified of wash cycle/dryer cycle completion via the ThinkQ app.

Ive had this clothes dryer about a month now and I have to say it dries clothes very well. Ive seen some complaints in the reviews of it not drying clothes completely using the automatic setting but this has not been my experience. My laundry has come out dry using the automatic settings and I havent had to add time to any load Ive put in it. Ive worked on a friends LG dryer so Ive seen how these machines are put together and was impressed by how well built they are and easy to repair if needed. my friends dryer was several years old and required new drum support rollers. It played a part in my decision to purchase LG when it came time to replace my Washer and Dryer. The front load LG Washer with Turbo Wash is working very well too. I think the only complaint I have is the ThinQ application. It is very nosey when it comes to the devices attached to your home network. Overall Id recommend LG laundry machines.

Ive had my dryer for 9 months and it works well except for the permanent press feature. It doesnt seem to dry well at that setting. I end up having to use the timed dry and thats too much. Ive tried calling them and the trouble shoot was supposed to work. I never heard from them again. Their customer service is not good I still like the dryer on the other settings although I hardly use but 2 different ones. A minor inconvenience is also that there is no light when you open the door.

nothing about this machine is easy to use and the consumer literature provided is incomplete or wrong. Intructions for the internet connectivity were wrong. What finally worked after multiple tries had nothing to do with the instructions. Neither the paper manual nor the internet site explain what the different cycle settings are and when to use them. My clothes were coming out damp and wrinkled on the normal cycle. I only get acceptable results by manually overriding the preset cycles. Would not buy this dryer again. Same criticism applies to the companion washer.

D80 code with clean vents

Not even one year old and house and vents are clean. Lg wants vents inspected by a vent techician and report obtained before they even open up a claim. Dryer only gives no code on small loads. Dryer also passes machine test for air flow with no code. Only a run around with LG.

We bought these 6 weeks ago thinking we would only keep them for the 2 years we are renting this current house but I love this dryer It has enough capacity to dry a twin sized down comforter or a queen sized quilt. It has a great steam refresh option to easily dewrinkle clothes without needing an iron. Initially we had some squeaking when the machine was running but leveling legs were easy to adjust which fixed the problem.

The dryer is satisfactory and does mostly what is meant to do. Clothes are dry and it handles big loads of laundry. The only ongoing problem we have is that the built-in sensor stops the dryer stops the drying before the clothes are completely dry. Weve tried changing the dry level but we have to resort to the time dry to finish off our loads. Besides this we are happy with the job it does.

I had to replace the dryer because you cant just replace one of a stacking units. This dryer seems to be standard meaning it does its job of drying clothes but nothing special about it. However good design and same UI as the washer which keeps the interface simple. Only thing I do have to figure out is to find the cycle/temp combo that will dry my clothes in one shot. I am not setting it right that I keep having to run the load 2-3 times. And unfortunately there is no detailed instructions on what each mode does. Overall good buy since it was Costco purchase on sale.

This dryer the other half of a LG stackable unit was a welcomed replacement for a 6 yr old GE stackable washer/dryer unit that literally QUIT master circuit board only after 6 yrs of normal use The new LG model is miles apart efficient features quality ease of use having results expected from our previous GE model If you expect the best from your dryer this LG unit is DEFINITELY the one for you

Fantastic Dryer

Bought this dryer with the matching washer about a month ago. All the drying options are great. This is our first electric dryer and electric drying is different than gas so we had to get used to that. Love the design.

Great Features and Easy to Use

I have had this dryer about a month and so far it has been great. I didnt think I needed the wifi option but it has proven to be a great tool. You can download specific drying options to your dryer to use. Also getting an alert that my dryer is done on my phone is actually nice as I am not always near the dryer. I love that it doesnt run on and on with an annoying buzzer too.

The doors squeak they do not close correctly LG service guy said that is the way theyre made the glass on them shakes and now Im stuck with them

Lint sticks to rubber seal around the glass

The brand new dryer didnt work when it was installed. It said the vent was clogged. Its a brand new vent. Tech came and re-set the machine now it worked. The one thing I really dislike is that the rubber seal around the glass door attracts a lot of lint. None of my previous dryers ever did this. The material LG is using is faulty. It attracts lint but doesnt repell it. The sealer is rough when it should be smooth or even Teflon treated rubber. Very disappointed with this

A good dryer

The first one I received had damage on the enclosure due to some reason. The replacement I received is in good condition. After few cycles of use I noticed the flow sensor is too sensitive. Even the exhaust is not connected it still shows d80. I turned OFF the notification and hope that there will be software update to solve the problem.

My wife wanted a matching set washer and dryer. We bought them at Costco. We could not be happier. They look great large and the dryer is able to dry large comforters in one cycle.

Bought dryer 11/2022 with pedestals with matching washer. Dial witch names type of clothes 2 dry makes it easy to pick correct level. Drying could be a little hotter and for a bedspread drying could be much hotter.
